<reviewbody>I can't play this movie in any of my video players: Quick Time, Real Player, or Windows Media Player. Can anyone explain why this is so and/or what software I need to view this film?

Thanks.

Tom H.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>MPEG4 is the standard for ipods, you can view these kind of files with VLC Media Player, which I believe is freeware. Bear in mind that this kind of file is of a lower resolution than most of the mpegs you'll find on the site, since it's made to be seen on a tiny ipod screen</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>If someone can tell me how to make an AVI file on a Mac using IMovie HD, i can try--i still have the original file. In the meantime, it does play on the VLC player if you have Windows 2000 or higher, but you have to follow the oddball instructions under streaming help.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I use a mac as well & and I use MPEG StreamClip to do any conversion of video files. It is free.

Just export your file from iMovie or final cut as a DV stream or whatever is the uncompressed version. then use streamclip to save it in any format you need.

You can get streamclip here for free.
